Brandeis University's FreePlay Theatre Cooperative

FreePlay RED (Research, experimentation, devising) is a subset of our theatre collective that focuses on non-performance-based work, allowing theatre artists to further develop skills and explore techniques away from an audience and outside of the classroom.
In the future, FreePlay RED intends to host a series of workshops led by professionals and experienced students in the areas of lighting design, set design, and other technical aspects, as well as in stage management and directing. We will also be holding weekly devising sessions, once COVID health and safety regulations allow.
Given the remote nature of this semester, we will first be launching our series of playwriting workshops, offered over Zoom. These workshops will be a collaborative space for writers to share their work, develop ideas, and discuss or learn about the craft. If you have a script, pieces of a script, or just a general interest in playwriting, then please come join us! Contact us at freeplaytheatreco@gmail.com for more information.
